Connecting to the SOCOM 1 and 2 private server

If you are using pcsx2, update your network plugin.
The file you want is the x86 7zip file.

Steps for SOCOM 1 (PCSX2)
Step 1: Open your network plugin and go to Options for next to Enable Ethernet
Step 2: For Connection Method select Sockets (Winsock)
Step 3: For adapter select your Ethernet adapter for your pc (not tap)
Step 4: Uncheck Auto next to DNS1 IP and enter
Click apply.

Steps for SOCOM 1 (PS2)

Step 1: Turn console on and put SOCOM 1 Disc in console
Step 2: Launch game as normal
Step 3: Go to "Online"
Step 4: Click "Edit Network Configurations"
      Step 4b: Add a new setting (or edit an existing setting)
      Step 4c: Select which memory card you wish to save your Network Setting on
      Step 4d: Select SCE/Ethernet (Network Adapter) on the Hardware Settings screen
      Step 4e: Select Not Required on the PPPoE screen (Unless needed)
      Step 4f: Select "Auto" for your IP Address Setup
      Step 4g: Select "Manual" for your DNS Server Address Setup
      Step 4h: Change the Primary DNS to "" and change the Secondary DNS to ""
      Step 4i: Change the name of your Network Setting to "SOCOM Server"
      Step 4j: Save your network configuration to your memory card and go back to the SOCOM 1 Online screen
Step 5: Select the "SOCOM Server" Network Configuration and Click "LOGIN"
Step 6: Input your player name and password that you desire and click "CONNECT" once done

Both PCSX2 and the PS2 require a patch which can be downloaded here.
If you haven't changed your network settings for pcsx2, you can just do the same exact steps for s1.

Just run the patch like you would the r0005 patch and that's all you have to do.
